SPY650-FastAct_X (Also known as SiR-XActin1) is our most advanced live cell actin imaging probe. It labels highly dynamic actin filaments as well as the more static ones. SPY650-FastAct_X is a bright, fluorogenic, non toxic, cell permeable and highly specific live cell probe for fluorescence imaging of actin. SPY650-FastAct_X can label highly dynamic cellular actin structures but lacks undesired F-actin stabilization and toxic side effects. It does not require any transfection and works just by adding the probe to the cells and perform imaging a couple of hours later.

SPY650-FastAct_X is a bright, far red, fluorogenic & non toxic F-actin probe based on our SPY™ dyes series. Its optimized actin ligand was engineered to avoid F-actin stabilization and fast exchange1). This unique feature renders SPY650-FastAct_X non-toxic and minimally perturbing cellular actin processes. It is able to label highy dynamic actin, just like LifeAct™** but the probe does not require any genetic manipulation, transfection or overexpression of fluorescent proteins. SPY650-FastAct_X is based on our bright, photostable & far red SPY650 fluorophore which is far superior than fluorescent proteins and highly STED comaptible.

 

SPY650-FastAct_X enables multicolor imaging with SPY505, SPY555, SPY595, SPY700, GFP or m-cherry. SPY650-FastAct_X can be imaged with standard Cy5 filterset. It can be used for widefield, confocal, SIM or STED imaging of living cells and tissue. Probe quantity allows 100 staining experiments.*
